Jammu, Oct 16: The accused teacher namely Kashif Qayoom Khurwani of Doda city presently posted at Government Middle School Hashkoti, Doda has been held by the police for allegedly beating an 8th class female student mercilessly in the class and recovered geo-metrical instrument compass used in the offence vide FIR No 226/2022 for various charges under sections 342 & 323 IPC and 75 & 82 Juvenile Justice Act at Police station Doda.
It is pertinent to mention here that News Insider 24×7 carried a detailed report on the request of family members of the victim on the issue and contacted the Chief Education Officer of Doda for his views on the matter but he did not respond despite our repeated calls.
Sources said that CEO has attached the accused teacher in Doda where as family members of victim girl alleged that he should have been terminated from the services for his heinous crime or at least he should have been attached in Jammu until inquiry in the case was pending but the accused teacher was eager to be attached in Doda because he runs a side business there, so it makes no difference for him, they added.
