Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday said his party is contesting elections in Budgam for the first time and is confident of strong support from the people.
Speaking to reporters, as reported by KNS Correspondent in Budgam, Bukhari said, “Our workers have already reached more than 20 of the 120 villages in this constituency, and by the grace of Allah, we expect a good response.”
Taking a dig at rival parties, he remarked, “BJP, NC, and PDP have long played with people’s emotions. There’s no real difference in their policies or programs, only in their names.”
Responding to a question on the National Conference’s claim of having no powers, Bukhari added, “If any government says it has nothing, it’s a matter of shame. The government holds all powers; if they need the governor’s permission, that’s their problem. The governor is the head in duty, and statehood is never an obstacle for those who truly want to work.” (Agencies)
