Jammu, Nov 17: Former Chief Minister and President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has refuted the reports carried in section of media agencies that he has resigned from the post of party president, adding he will head the party till the elections which are scheduled to be held on December 5.
While talking to News Insider 24×7 Digital Channel and Public Herald correspondent on phone, the former Chief Minister said that he has not resigned from the post of president of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference. The news about it appeared in a section of media are rumours and I will head the party till elections which are going to be held on December 5, 2022, he maintained.
I have been asking to my loyals of the party to take over the reigns of the party as my health does not allow me now to continue with the party affairs, that is why elections are being conducted and I believe that other party workers will also get an opportunity to prove their mettle, Dr. Farooq Abdullah added.
