Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on New Year’s Day and discussed a range of subjects, including music. Expressing his bliss upon the meeting, he described it as a “very memorable meeting” with the Prime Minister.
“A fantastic start to 2025. A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi Ji. We talked about a lot of things including music of course!” he shared. Diljit presented the Prime Minister with a poster of his Dil-Luminati tour of India.
Responding to his post, PM Modi shared, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more.”
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh ended his blockbuster Dil-Luminati India Tour with a spectacular finale in Ludhiana, ringing in the New Year with an electrifying performance. The event, held at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) grounds on New Year’s Eve, marked the culmination of his two-month nationwide tour, which kicked off on October 26 in New Delhi.
The Ludhiana concert turned out to be a memorable evening as Diljit invited legendary Punjabi singer and politician Muhammad Sadiq to join him on stage. Calling Sadiq the “REAL OG,” Diljit paid homage by performing the veteran’s iconic track Malki Keema.
Diljit’s Dil-Luminati India Tour has been a star-studded affair, with Bollywood heavyweights like Deepika Padukone and Kartik Aaryan making surprise appearances at previous shows. Throughout the tour, Diljit performed in major cities, including Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Indore, Bengaluru, Delhi and Guwahati, enthralling fans with his chart-topping hits.
Interestingly, the Ludhiana stop was a last-minute addition to the schedule. Initially set to conclude in Guwahati on December 29, the tour extended to give fans in Punjab an unforgettable New Year’s celebration.
