Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries carried out a highly impressive ‘Tiranga Rally’ as a part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to mark the celebration of 75 years of Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).
The ‘Tiranga Rally’ was flagged off by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar along with IGP Mukesh Singh and Chamber President Arun Gupta from Karan Market. The rally after passing through various markets including Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazar and Residency Road finally culminated at Shri Raghunath ji Temple.
Businessmen from various markets including members of various Market and Bazaar associations joined the rally in large numbers from the commencing point followed by joining of others on way. The rally turned the environs of the City of Temples into festivity amid high patriotic fervour. The roads and markets traversed by the trading class echoed with patriotic slogans raised by the participants carrying national flags in their hands with great reverence and pride. The slogans raised during the rally included ‘Vande Matram’; ‘Naman Matra Bhoomi’; ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, etc.
The CCI President, Arun Gupta, while addressing the participants of the rally, impressed upon the business fraternity in particular and public in general to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a big success across the City of Temples. He said that the National Flag (Tiranga) is identity of the nation and pride and honour for all the citizens of the nation. He asserted that it reflects the philosophy of the world’s largest democracy through its colours and design. He said that it reminds us about the precious sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to achieve freedom for the nation. It also reminds us to salute the martyrs of the nation who as part of the belt forces embraced martyrdom to keep the nation secure along borders and within and keeping the national flag fluttering high under all circumstances, he added. He offered his salutations to the freedom fighters and the martyrs.
Arun Gupta appealed to the business fraternity to make the 76th Independence Day celebrations a unique event as the Nation is celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
