The Director General of Police, J&K, Sh. Nalin Prabhat (IPS), accompanied by DIG JSK Range Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS), SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh (JKPS), and other senior officers, conducted a visit to the border areas of Jammu District today, 16 May 2025.

The DGP began his tour from the R.S. Pura sector, where he interacted with jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) at various Border Outposts (BOPs), including Octroi (Suchetgarh), Kharkola, as well as police border posts at Baspur Bangla and Agra Chak.

Following the visit to the R.S. Pura sector, the DGP visited Police Station Kanachak and Border Police Post (BPP) Sandwan, where he held interactions with officers and jawans stationed there.
During his visit, the DGP lauded the exemplary role of JKP personnel in handling the recent Indo-Pak conflict. He appreciated the prompt response of officers in evacuating residents from border villages, a move that significantly contributed to saving precious lives.

He also interacted with BSF personnel deployed along the International Border in Jammu and paid tribute to their sacrifices, courage, and unwavering commitment in safeguarding the nation’s frontiers and delivering a befitting response to enemy actions.
