Srinagar, Jul 07 : Government has appointed Divisional Commissioner Kashmir as the enquiry officer to enquire the issue of demolition of shopping complex, housing the office of the IndusInd bank in Anantnag district.
According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has been asked to submit the report within a period of 15 days.
“Pandurang Kondbarao Pole, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir is hereby appointed as Inquiry Officer to enquire into the issue of demolition of shopping complex housing office of the IndusInd Bank at Ganjiwara, Anantnag,” read the issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Principal Secretary to the Government.
It reads that the Inquiry Officer shall ascertain whether the said demolition was carried out in accordance with procedure prescribed under rules and whether any damage was deliberately inflicted on the moveable assets of the Bank.
“The Inquiry Officer may co-opt any officer for conduct of the enquiry and shall submit his report within a period of fifteen days to the Government,” it reads further.
