New Delhi, Mar 6: A Special Court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Delhi on Friday extended the NIA custody of two accused, Zamir Ahmed Ahangar and Tufail Ahmad Shah, by five more days in connection with the Delhi blast case.
The accused were produced before the court after the expiry of their earlier 10-day remand. After hearing the submissions, the court permitted the NIA to continue their custody for further questioning and investigation.
Meanwhile, the court also granted the investigating agency an extension of 45 days to complete the probe against two other accused, Bilal Nasir Malla and Yasir Ahmad Dar.
The extension will allow the NIA additional time to carry forward the investigation and complete the necessary legal formalities related to the case. (Agency)
