Death of 19 year old boy shrouds mystery in Bandipora

Bandipora: The death of a poor 19-year-old boy Death has shrouded mystery across Bandipora district in north Kashmir whose body was found outside the gate of his house in Aaloosa area of the district, sources said here.

Tassaduk, the only support to his family, had left his house in the morning some two weeks ago to fetch the money for the treatment of his ailing father from his master, owner of a Joinery Mill in the same area where the boy was working as a labourer. After some time, his body was found outside the gate of his house. How and who brought his body to his home is a point of investigation, sources added.

However, the family members have alleged that Tassaduk was murdered by the owner of the Joinery Mill where he was working as a labourer for the last over one and a half years and allegedly often used to scuffle with the deceased for petty things besides it, police inaction at the initial stage left the case in cold storage due, the SSP added.

It is pertinent to mention here that there is no other severe burden on the shoulders of a parent than the dead body of their own young son in the world. The father of Tassaduk is ailing, mother too works as a labourer due to extreme poverty yet their bread earner has gone, their caretaker in old age has gone with the wind shattering all their dreams, happiness, and cause of being to live in this materialistic world to Mill owners influential links hence compelled the poor family along with their relatives and neighbors to reach Press Enclave at Srinagar to highlight their grave issue before media for getting justice to the aggrieved family at relevant fora.

Meanwhile, during an informal conversation with Senior Superintendent of Police of the district Bandipora, Lakshya Sharma told our editor-in-chief Masood Malik that the cause of the death of the deceased seems to be prima facie as cardiac arrest where as an FIR in the case has been registered in the concerned police station and proceedings under section 174 criminal penal code have been initiated in the case.

Though LG administration and Police have been at the front foot to conduct various programmes for the Welfare of youth and other sects of the society. Police have been successfully eradicating social evils by holding awareness camps and other modes to educate people about the merits and demerits of any activity that takes place usually in our day-to-day lives. Moreover, several measures are yet to be taken for more development.

It is pertinent to mention here that there has been seemingly found an increase in the criminal activities in the valley for the last quite some time. Though the valley has witnessed the terrible phase of the worst-ever face of militancy for more than three decades altogether yet measures are needed to be taken to hold counseling among people from all walks of life at the social level to conduct educational, recreational, and other programmes for the benefit of the people. This may help people to reduce their psychological as well as physical stress they have been facing for years now. The parents of Tassaduk have to feel lonely now in this old age in the society as their bread earner and caretaker have gone forever. Now they depend upon the social set-up so, there is a role for society too to play in their lives.
