Corbin Bosch Suspended from PSL for One Year After Withdrawing from 2025 Season

Bosch, who was picked as a diamond player by Peshawar Zalmi, later joined the Mumbai Indians as an injury replacement in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). His decision to pull out of the PSL, which this year coincided with the IPL due to a shift in schedule, prompted the PCB to issue a legal notice for an alleged breach of contract.

In a statement, Bosch expressed deep regret over his decision and apologized to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Peshawar Zalmi, and the broader cricket community. He acknowledged his mistake, accepted the penalty, and said the experience had been a hard lesson.

“I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the consequences, including the penalty fine and the one-year ban from the PSL. I hope to return in the future with renewed dedication and earn back the trust of the fans,” Bosch said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

The PSL, traditionally held between February and March, was moved to an April-May window this year due to Pakistan’s packed international calendar. As a result, the league clashed with the IPL, causing a scheduling conflict for players participating in both tournaments.

The 10th edition of the PSL begins today, April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United facing off against Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
