Kishtwar | October 11: The Indian National Congress today inaugurated its new Block Office in Kishtwar under the leadership of senior-most party leader Sheikh Ghulam Haider. He was joined by JKPCC General Secretary P.L. Shan, and JKPCC Secretaries Sheikh Irshad Ahmed and Firdous Mingnoo, who marked the occasion with a call for unity and grassroots mobilization.
Block President Noor Hussain Lone extended a warm welcome to the senior leadership and addressed a well-attended gathering at the newly inaugurated office.
In his address, Sheikh Ghulam Haider congratulated all Congress workers for their continued commitment and lauded Noor Hussain Lone for his active role and dedication in strengthening the party’s presence at the block level.
He further urged party cadres to actively spread awareness about Rahul Gandhi’s nationwide campaign against “Vote Chori” (vote theft), launched to highlight alleged electoral discrepancies witnessed during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Haider emphasized the importance of the district-wide signature campaign, aimed at restoring public trust in the democratic process.
