In a bizarre incident, authorities in Bihar’s Rohtas district are probing how a man named “Cat Kumar,” son of “Catty Boss” and “Catiya Devi,” applied for a residential certificate.
According to officials, the application for the certificate listed the applicant’s name as “Cat Kumar,” with “Catty Boss” recorded as the father’s name and “Catiya Devi” as the mother’s name.
After the unusual application came to light, District Magistrate Udita Singh directed Nasriganj Revenue Officer Kaushal Patel to investigate the matter. A formal case has been registered against unidentified persons at Nasriganj police station, and a probe is underway.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another bizarre case in Patna’s Masaurhi block, where a residence certificate was officially issued in the name of a dog. The document listed “Dog Babu” as the applicant, “Kutta Babu” as the father, and “Kutiya Devi” as the mother.
Authorities launched a thorough investigation to identify those responsible, with officials assuring strict action against any staff found negligent. (Agencies)
