Gurugram Traffic Police has fined renowned rapper Badshah Rs 15,000 for violating traffic rules. The charges include driving on the wrong side of the road, playing loud music, and engaging in rash driving.
Authorities confirmed the fine on Tuesday, highlighting the rapper’s disregard for traffic safety regulations. The incident has sparked discussions about the importance of following traffic laws, especially among public figures who set an example for others. This fine serves as a reminder that no one is exempt from adhering to road safety norms.
The incident occurred on December 15 when Badshah arrived at Airia Mall on Sohana Road for a special appearance at a concert by Punjabi singer Karan Aujla. Police reported that the rapper was driving recklessly, which led to the issuance of the fine for violating traffic rules.
The charges include driving on the wrong side of the road, playing loud music, and engaging in rash driving.
The Mahindra Thar in which Badshah was traveling is registered under the name of Deepender Malik, a resident of Panipat, according to the police.
Amid heavy traffic, the SUV, part of Badshah’s convoy, drove on the wrong side of the road, which caught the attention of bystanders. Several passersby filmed the incident, and the footage quickly went viral on social media.
This led to authorities taking notice and issuing a challan to the rapper for violating traffic rules. The incident raised concerns about the safety and behavior of high-profile individuals on the road.
After the video of the incident went viral on social media, the traffic police took action and issued a Rs 15,000 challan to rapper Badshah on Monday for his traffic violations.
“A challan has been issued and action has been taken for rash driving, playing loud music in the vehicle, and driving on the wrong side,” Traffic Inspector Devender Kumar said.
