However, uncertainty prevails over whether Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will participate in the high-level security review meeting or hold any separate interaction with Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his upcoming three-day visit to the Union Territory. Official sources said it is yet to be confirmed if the Chief Minister or members of his cabinet will be part of Shah’s engagements in J&K.

As per the sources, Amit Shah will arrive in Jammu on the evening of February 5 and is slated to hold meetings with political leaders at Lok Bhavan the same day.

On February 6, the Home Minister will visit the International Border area of Hiranagar in Kathua district to assess border security measures. Later in the day, he will chair a high-level meeting in Jammu to review the overall security scenario in the Union Territory.

On February 7, Shah will travel to Srinagar, where he is expected to launch several developmental initiatives before departing for Chhattisgarh later in the day.

The security review meeting will be attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior officials of the Union Home Ministry, heads of security forces and intelligence agencies, along with top civil and police officers of the Union Territory.

However, it is not yet known whether Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will be part of the review meeting, or if the Union Home Minister will hold any separate interaction with the Chief Minister or members of his cabinet during the visit.
