New Delhi, July 31: Advocating for early restoration of legislative assembly and holding of polls in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir,Aam Aadmi Party expelled MP Sanjay Singh said that it has been a long time now witnessing Governor’s rule there.
During an exclusive interview on the ongoing monsoon Parliament session conducted by a team of News Insider 24×7 Jammu headed by its Editor in Chief Masood Malik, the Aam Aadmi Party MP advocated for early restoration of legislative assembly in the union territory of J&K as it has been a long time now that Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing Governor’s rule,he said
Mr Singh emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want peace now. They were fed up with present dispensation. They want a specific change and to honour the peoples aspirations holding of elections must be a priority,he said.
There has been no visible change on the ground so far as the BJP Government at the centre is concerned. There has been increase in militant related activities further and the LG administration has failed to contain it.Incidents of targeted killings happened in BJP rule in Kashmir claiming several precious human lives but it is claimed that every thing is under control of administration there,Sanjay Singh alleged. Taking adig he said as how people of Jammu and Kashmir were being deprived of their fundamental rights due to longer delay in conducting assembly polls to form a popular peoples own Government there .
The MP, had been expelled recently by the Rajya Sabha Speaker for his derogatory remarks on the prime minister Narendra Modi in the Parliament.Soon after his expulsion AAP MP Sanjay Singh started protest along with his associates outside the Parliament House.
As Monsoon season of Parliament is in progress till August 12, Sanjay Singh expressed his anguish over the circumstances he has been deprived of his right and he has been not allowed to attend the proceedings of Parliament.
