JALANDHAR, September 30: A bomb threat email received in Punjab ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally in Jalandhar on Wednesday has triggered a security alert across the city. According to officials, the email reportedly threatened several locations, including schools, the rally venue, Shri Devi Talab Temple and the court complex. Security agencies have been placed on alert and verification operations are underway.
The rally is scheduled as the concluding event of the BJP’s ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’, which has travelled across Punjab before culminating in Jalandhar.
