Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking CCTV video from a residential society in Ghaziabad has surfaced online, showing a young man allegedly urinating inside a lift, triggering strong reactions among residents and social media users.
The incident reportedly took place at Shipra Krishna Vista Society in Indirapuram’s Ahimsa Khand-1, with the footage said to be from the lift of the F-2 tower. According to reports, the matter came to light after residents complained about a foul smell coming from the elevator.
CCTV Captures Incident
The CCTV footage allegedly shows the man inside the moving lift before he begins urinating towards the lift’s control panel. The elevator reportedly stops at several floors during the incident, with the doors opening at one point.
Another person approaching the lift appears to notice what is happening inside and steps away rather than entering. The man then continues his journey before eventually getting out of the elevator.
Residents reportedly informed the Apartment Owners’ Association and maintenance staff after noticing the unpleasant smell. The CCTV cameras were subsequently checked, leading to the discovery of the incident.

The CCTV footage has since circulated widely on social media, prompting criticism over hygiene and the use of shared residential facilities.
The incident has also sparked discussions about civic responsibility, particularly in high-rise societies where elevators are regularly used by children, elderly residents, families, domestic workers and visitors.
There has been speculation on social media about the man possibly being under the influence of alcohol or another substance, but available reports say there is no official confirmation of this. Similarly, clear information regarding any police action or penalty against the man has not been reported so far.
The incident has once again highlighted concerns about maintaining cleanliness and responsible behaviour in common areas of residential societies.
