Srinagar, Jun 22: Chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has extended warm greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, emphasizing the spirit of mutual respect and communal harmony in Kashmir.

In a post on X, Mirwaiz conveyed his wishes to Kashmiri Pandits and said the festival should strengthen the bond of brotherhood and shared cultural heritage in the region.

He stated that the occasion serves as a reminder of Kashmir’s long-standing tradition of unity and coexistence among communities.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Kashmiri Pandit devotees gathered at the Ragnya Devi temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, popularly known as the Kheer Bhawani shrine, to offer prayers and participate in the annual religious gathering.
