New Delhi, June 19: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a safety advisory ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21, urging candidates to remain alert against fraudulent messages and download their admit cards only through official channels.
The agency announced that it is sending reminder SMS, email, and WhatsApp notifications to candidates who have not yet downloaded their fresh admit cards for the re-exam.
According to the NTA, official SMS messages will be sent only from the sender ID “NICPEP”, while emails will come exclusively from no-reply.neet.nta@nic.in. Candidates have also been advised to access the official website by typing neet.nta.nic.in directly into their browser instead of clicking unknown links.
The agency further clarified that its WhatsApp channel is a broadcast-only service. It will never ask candidates to reply, share OTPs, personal information, or make any payment. Students should ensure that WhatsApp messages display the blue verified tick and the name “National Testing Agency.” Any account lacking the verification badge should be treated as fake.
The NTA emphasized that candidates who have already downloaded their admit cards for the June 21 re-examination do not need to download them again. The latest reminders are intended only for those who have not yet obtained their new admit cards.
The original NEET-UG examination, held on May 3, was cancelled on May 12 following allegations of a paper leak. The matter is currently under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The agency also reminded students that the admit cards issued for the May 3 examination are no longer valid, as many candidates have been allotted new examination centres in their preferred cities.
NTA advised candidates to download and print the June 21 admit card only once from the official website and immediately report any suspicious messages through the designated reporting platform or cybercrime helplines.
