District Administration Udhampur organized an awareness-cum-training programme for district and sectoral officers on Census 2027 and the upcoming self-enumeration process at the DC Office Conference Hall.
The programme was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa and attended by senior officers from various departments. Officials were briefed on the digital self-enumeration process through a detailed presentation by NIC.
It was informed that the self-enumeration phase will be conducted from May 17 to May 31, 2026, allowing citizens to submit household details online through the official Census portal.
The ADC highlighted that the initiative aims to make the census process more transparent, convenient, and citizen-friendly, and stressed the importance of accurate self-declaration for reliable census data.
He urged citizens to actively participate and provide truthful information under the 33-point housing and household survey framework.
