Medical-cum-awareness camp held at Kurmail, Assar to promote health awareness

MMU team provides healthcare services, conducts awareness session on preventive health and drug abuse

DODA, MAY 07: A free medical camp under the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) was successfully organized at Village Kurmail in Medical Block Assar recently.

During the camp, locals were provided a wide range of healthcare services including general health check-ups, screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), dental check-ups, and other essential medical facilities.

The medical camp was headed by Dr. Tahir Muneeb Zargar, Senior Dental Surgeon. Dr. Faheem Wani along with Swami Raj (Pharmacist) from the MMU team also rendered their dedicated services during the camp.

More than 50 patients were examined and screened, and were provided free medicines on the spot.

A health awareness session was also conducted to educate the public about preventive healthcare measures, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Awareness regarding the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) was also imparted, highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a drug-free society.

The locals appreciated the efforts of the Health Department for reaching out to remote areas and providing quality healthcare services at their doorstep.
