Director FCS&CA, Jammu reviews LPG & Petrol/Diesel Supplies.

Jammu April 4; 2026: In order to ensure the hassle free supplies of LPG and Petrol/Diesel to the consumers, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan, JKAS, Director FCS&CA Jammu took a maiden review meeting in his office chamber with representatives of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), LPG distributors and Assistant Directors of Jammu District. He emphasized the need for strengthened monitoring and coordinated efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply and transparent distribution of LPG and Petrol/Diesel to consumers. Oil Marketing Companies were directed to submit the daily stock position of LPG to the FCS&CA Department for regular monitoring by the concerned Assistant Directors of Jammu Division. The Officer further put a stress on achieving 100 percent completion of e-KYC of all LPG consumers at the earliest, and LPG distributors were instructed to expedite the process to ensure compliance with Government guidelines. The LPG distributors were asked to ensure 100 percent doorstep delivery of LPG cylinders so that consumers do not face any inconvenience. The Director issued strict instructions to curb any black marketing, hoarding, and overcharging of LPG cylinders & directed field functionaries to maintain close vigilance and initiate strict action against any defaulters found violating the prescribed norms. The Distributors were instructed to maintain transparency by displaying approved LPG rates, delivery charges, and consumer helpline numbers prominently at distribution points. Emphasis was also laid on timely supply, prompt grievance redressal, and regular field inspections to ensure adherence to established guidelines. Assistant Director(s), Tehsil Supply Officers, Oil Marketing Companies and LPG Distributors were advised to undertake awareness measures regarding completion of e-KYC and safe usage of LPG among consumers. It was informed by the OMCs in the meeting that sufficient stock of LPG cylinders, Petrol/Diesel is available across the Jammu Division, and the general public has been advised not to panic or resort to unnecessary bookings, as adequate arrangements are in place to ensure uninterrupted supply.
