The police said Malik allegedly lured unemployed youth with false promises of jobs abroad, collected money from them, and then disappeared.

After his arrest in Faridabad, he was brought to Srinagar and produced before the competent court following a transit remand granted by the Duty Magistrate Court in Faridabad.

The SCW has advised the public, especially job-seeking youth, to verify the credibility of job placement agencies and consultancies before making any payments to avoid falling victim to such scams. (Agency)
