CM Omar Abdullah Unveils ₹1,13,767 Crore Budget for Jammu and Kashmir

₹80,640 crore allocated for revenue expenditure and ₹33,127 crore for capital spending; own revenue pegged at ₹31,800 crore.

Jammu, Feb 06: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday presented a ₹1,13,767 crore budget for the Union Territory.

While presenting the budget in the UT Assembly, the Chief Minister, as per news agency (Agencies), said the total net budget estimates for the financial year 2026–27 stand at ₹1,13,767 crore, excluding provisions for ways and means advances and overdraft.

“The total net budget estimates for the fiscal 2026–27 are ₹1,13,767 crore, excluding the provision for ways and means advances and overdraft,” the Chief Minister said.

Of the total outlay, ₹80,640 crore has been earmarked for revenue expenditure, while ₹33,127 crore has been allocated for capital expenditure.

The Chief Minister said the expected revenue and capital receipts under the Budget Estimates 2026–27 are ₹90,018 crore and ₹23,749 crore, respectively.

He added that the Union Territory’s own revenue—both tax and non-tax—is estimated at ₹31,800 crore.

“In addition, ₹42,752 crore will flow as central assistance and ₹13,400 crore as Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) to Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. (Agencies)
