A man was seen drinking water after a workout session at a gym in Pune’s Pimpri-Chinchwad on Friday morning. Moments after taking a sip from his water bottle, he turned and suddenly collapsed. The entire incident was captured on the gym’s CCTV camera.
Gym-goers immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, 37-year-old Milind Kulkarni was declared dead on arrival. According to reports, Kulkarni — whose wife is a doctor — suffered a heart attack.
Initial investigations revealed that Kulkarni had been a regular at the gym for the past six months.
While heart attacks are more common in people over the age of 65, recent years have seen a concerning rise in cases among individuals under 50. Several international medical studies also point to an increasing trend of heart attacks occurring in people in their 30s and 40s.
